Geomembranes are flexible sheet materials typically used as barriers to the passage of gases, liquids, or solids that combine long-term durability with strength, flexibility, and chemical resistance providing an impermeable barrier for a wide variety of applications.
Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM)
A synthetic rubber elastomer that offers exceptional conformance and lay flat characteristics.
Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL)
Consisting of low-permeability sodium bentonite bonded between two or more layers of geosynthetics to create a hydraulic barrier that is self healing and available in a variety of configurations to address hydraulic performance, shear strength, and chemical compatibility.
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
The most chemically resistant polyethylene with a high strength to density ratio and great ultraviolet protection. Its tensile strength is greater than that of LLDPE and available in a variety of surface finishes:
Smooth – Base surface finish.
Textured – Increased friction angles to prevent adjacent materials from slipping.
Reflective – White pigment with UV additives reduces the effect sunlight has on liner temperature
Colored – Typicaly black, green, or white with other pigment options available.
Conductive – Smooth surface with a conductive bottom layer that can be spark tested for damage.
Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
A flexible polymer providing similar durability and resistance as HDPE with increased flexibility and stress crack resistance
Polypropylene
High resistance to chemicals and environmental stress cracking with a low thermal coefficient and good puncture resistance.
Considerable chemical and UV resistance with low thermal expansion and high tensile strength.
XR-5 – Base material properties.
XR-3 – Lighter-duty alternative.
XR-PW – Potable.
